Installation
============

**Setup is quick and easy. The  WinSyslog Service uses a standard setup wizard.**

`Installing WinSyslog <https://www.mwagent.com/step-by-step-guides/installation-and-configuration/how-to-setup-monitorware-agent-winsyslog-and-eventreporter>`_ is simple and easy. A standard setup program installs the 
application. WinSyslog is part of `Adiscon's MonitorWare line of products <../glossaryofterms/mwlineofproducts.html>`_.

A number of different `Download Versions <https://www.winsyslog.com/download>`_ of the product is available. The 
installer can  be started by just double clicking wnsyslog.exe (this is the 
setup program) and follow the onscreen instructions.

Please note: The installer adds a Windows Firewall exception for the service 
process automatically during the installation routine.
