A new version of WinSyslog is now available. This release introduces a powerful Message Ringbuffer action that allows stored log messages to be queried directly through the service metrics endpoint, backed by a brand-new live metrics dashboard in the user interface. Core engine updates also bring dynamic system-maximum connection backlogs for TCP listeners and direct foreground configuration options for more flexible runtime loading.

Under the hood, version 26.08 focuses heavily on service stability and concurrency. Key engine improvements deliver hardened TCP and RELP session teardown to prevent buffer corruption during heavy traffic, modernized queue handle lifecycles, and faster, unblocked service reloads and stops. Diagnostic logging has also been overhauled with unique Event IDs, expanded operator guidance, and clearer TLS error reporting.

Both management interfaces receive notable quality-of-life updates. The New User Interface features an enhanced Configuration Workbench with better tab navigation and metrics security diagnostics, while the Legacy Client features streamlined file-based licensing and improved configuration preservation across formats.
