WinSyslog 3.6 SP 1 Released

Adiscon has  today announced the immediate availability of WinSyslog 3.6 service pack 1. The service pack has been build due to customer feedback requesting an important additional feature.

The SP1 version does support reverse name resolution. This allows to map the IP addresses of incoming messages to their host names. It is a great feature to quickly learn which system send a specific syslog message. Other than that new feature, there is no difference between the 3.6 and 3.6 SP1 release. The SP1 release can simply be installed over existing 3.6 installations.

WinSyslog 3.6 SP1 is a free download found at Adiscon's web site. Interested users should download and try out the version.
